Strengthening women affected by violence

The Fundación Machaqa Amawta (FMA) advocates for democracy, justice and equality and wants to counter the everpresent gender-specific violence against women in La Paz. It provides training to 20 women who can become community therapists. They will be able to assist and help women affected by violence in therapy groups. Women are taught their rights and enabled to free themselves from the abusive situation they are in.
